Keishicho Outsider is a Japanese mystery-comedy drama series that aired on TV Asahi from January 5th to March 2nd, 2023. The show revolves around Kagawa Eiji, a detective who looks more like a gangster, played by Nishijima Hidetoshi. He was previously part of the Metropolitan Police Department, investigating organized crime groups, but was demoted to the Sakuramachi Chuo Police Station without a reason. Kagawa Eiji is determined to return to the Metropolitan Police Department to get answers. He works with Detective Hasumi Kosuke, played by Hamada Gaku, who has a big secret that has never been revealed. The story takes a turn when a housekeeper is stabbed to death at a professor’s house, and a rookie detective, Mizuki Nao, played by Kamishiraishi Moka, joins their team. As they work together, Kagawa Eiji and Hasumi Kosuke are bothered by her, but they eventually start to solve the case.
